Anai Presents Cultures of the African Diaspora Fund Raiser, Friday January 15 doors open at 7:30pm

Portland, OR – Anai African Music and Dance presents Cultures of the African Diaspora fundraiser concert on Friday, January 15 at Da Vinci Art Middle School (2508 NE Everett Street, Portland, OR 97232) at 7:30pm. Tickets $15 ages 8 and older, FREE for kids 7 and under.

Cultures of the African Diaspora is a dynamic Ghanaian music and dance event to raise funds for the Anai, a non-profit organization. Anai wishes to join in the effort to spread cultural diversity by bringing exceptional West African music and dance educational programs to underserved populations in urban and rural settings throughout the Pacific North West. Anai strives to offer innovative African arts, folkloric music and dance programs to schools, community centers and performance venues through: • Residency Programs and Workshops • African music & dance performances • After School programs • Cultural programs for immigrants and refugees

Anai believes that all youth, regardless of their background, deserve to live in a culturally diverse atmosphere that allows them to express themselves freely and to develop a healthy self-esteem. Our goal is to promote cross-cultural understanding, by creating innovative music and dance programs that stimulates the minds of young people.
