211info Seeks Volunteer for Digital Media projects!

Have experience in film, photography and social media? Do you have a passion for thinking creatively about new ways to communicate?

211info is looking for a volunteer/intern to help tell our story through video, photography, and social media. Volunteers (potentially art or media students?) would have the opportunity to create projects for their portfolios while gaining experience working in communications for an established nonprofit that serves Oregon and Southwest Washington. We need help designing a new blog, expanding our Facebook reach, creating videos to cast our vision and tell the stories of community members in need.

Time commitment: 2-8 hours a week for 3-6 months, depending on project need and volunteer's availability

211info is Oregon and Southwest Washington’s social service information hub. We operate several helplines, including 2-1-1, the human services equivalent of 9-1-1. The nonprofit 211info is built upon a 25 year history of providing people with free and easy access to the answers they need. Last year, over 100,000 people turned to 211info for referrals to food, shelter, housing, foreclosure assistance, health care, and much more.
