The Northwest Catholic Counseling Center is seeking a passionate individual who shares our values to fill the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The ED must have a strong knowledge of non-profit fiscal and grant management , strong knowledge of non-profit business rules and legal requirements and ability to carry out fundraising responsibilities. Knowledge or experience in the mental health field is preferred but not required.

Required Skills and Abilities:In concert with the Clinical Director: 1. Preserve and implement the Center’s Mission, Vision and Values with staff. 2. Maintain State Certification for the Center. 3. Be available to handle crisis situations as they arise. 4. Ensure staff development opportunities for all staff. 5. Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates a diverse top quality staff. 6. Maintain membership in appropriate professional organizations. 7. Partner with Clinical Director to determine needs and goals for grant requests. Management and Operations: 1. Maintain official records and documents and ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements as they relate to employment practices, nonprofit organizations and mental health providers. 2. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of programs, meetings and events. 3. Maintain liaison with legal counsel and auditor. 4. Ensure the implementation of all personnel policies and provide for periodic reviews and revision. Staffing: 1. Be available for consultation by all staff. 2. Evaluate the performance of all operations staff. 3. Plan and facilitate staff meetings. 4. Engage the staff, as well as the board, to develop short and long-range goals and objectives. Budget and Finance: 1. Ensure proper fiscal accounting and controls in accordance with sound accounting practices. 2. Work with staff, Finance Committee, and the board in preparing a budget and assure that the organization operates within budget guidelines. 3. Assure the prudent stewardship of the Center’s invested funds as outlined in the Center’s investment policy. 4. Ensure that billings to and collections from individuals and insurance providers are performed in a timely and thorough manner. 5. Ensure that a comprehensive insurance program protects the organization. 6. Maintain a back up and security of all files. Fundraising: 1. Collaborate with the board and staff to cultivate relationships with donors, grantors and foundations to enhance the Center’s revenue streams. 2. Submit applications for various funding opportunities and oversee grant administration and reporting for multiple sources. 3. Create yearly development plan to meet budgeted income expectations. 4. Engage in stewardship activities with the Center’s donors and members of the community. 5. Plan, implement and expand the Center’s promotional and fundraising events. 6. Hire and supervise additional fundraising and/or promotional staff as needed. Marketing and Public Relations: 1. Represent the programs and point of view of the Center to agencies, organizations and the general public. 2. Maintain contact with the Catholic parishes and other local churches to promote the Center’s programs. 3. Publicize the services, programs, goals and activities of the Center including but not limited to producing three newsletters per year and maintaining the Center’s website. 4. Respond to general correspondence, questions and requests for information about the Center in a timely manner. 5. Oversee all media contacts. Board Relations: 1. Keep the board fully informed on the condition of the organization and all-important factors influencing it. 2. Support the board by providing accurate information, research and data. 3. Partner with the board in developing long-range and short-range plans that preserve and foster the growth of the Mission, Vision and Values of the Center. 4. Collaborate with the Board President to develop agendas and training opportunities for the board. 5. Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors concerning development and marketing activities. 6. Work with the nominating committee to recruit and orient new board members. 7. Provide staff support to all board committees as needed. 8. Keep the Member Corporation informed of the programs and activities of the Center in a timely and detailed manner. 9. Other duties as assigned by the board. Overall of the position: The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will operate as the leader of a collaborative organization. The Executive Director directly supervises the Clinical Director, development and administrative staff. The Clinical Director supervises the clinical staff. The Executive Director manages an annual budget of $940,000. Training and qualifications: • Knowledge of and commitment for the social justice values of the Catholic Church. • Ability to articulate, support and promote the mission and vision of the Center. • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required. • Experience in non-profit management, senior manager or equivalent. • Minimum of 5 years experience in fund development and proven track record in acquiring major gifts. • Experience in a mental health setting is preferred, but not required. • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others (individuals and organizations) • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. • Ability to recognize the gifts that people bring and allow them to implement them. • Ability to develop and execute the implementation of strategic and organizational plans. • Working knowledge in: MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

Terms: The Executive Director position is a full-time position (40 hours). Salary range is $65,000-$80,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.
