Youth Development Policy & Evaluation Internships at Camp Fire

Camp Fire USA Portland Metro Council is a community-based non-profit organization with a mission to build caring, confident youth and future leaders. Two 10-hour/week internships are currently available at our main office in downtown Portland. Interns receive a $1000 honorarium per semester.

Policy Outreach Intern: This intern position will support Camp Fire’s efforts to advocate for increased public and private support for out-of-school time programs in Oregon. Working in close collaboration with our Director of Programs & Evaluation, this intern will participate in policy research, coalition development and systems building work to strengthen the local child care and youth work fields.

Training & Assessment Intern: This intern position will support Camp Fire’s efforts to expand organizational capacity for outcomes evaluation, staff training and quality assessment. Working in close collaboration with our Director of Programs & Evaluation, this intern will assist with projects designed to strengthen program quality through staff professional development, observation-based self assessment tools, and surveys to track youth outcomes.
