Building Social Movements Learn about local movements and how they have shaped the Portland community. Come away with a historical understanding of social justice movements and how it relates to today

Organize, Mobilize, Educate: Building Organizing Skills Hear stories from local grassroots leaders who have made change happen in their community. Participants will learn how to be an effective advocate, and how to organize campaigns around issues or problems in their community.

Impacting Public Policy How does city government work? Learn how you can impact decision making on a local level.

Leadership Skills What does it mean to be a community leader? Get essential skills in power analysis, and what it takes to plan a campaign, select issues and mobilize people to work together for social change.
