Friends of Trees - MLK Weekend of Service

Please join us this Saturday, January 16th for a morning of service planting trees in honor of the legacy of the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Friends of Trees is excited to be partnering with Hands On Greater Portland and United Way of the Columbia-Willamette for the 2010 MLK Weekend of Service. We’ll be planting in Portland, Vancouver, Clackamas and Wilsonville, so there is bound to be a planting near you! (See below for information about each location.) There is no need to register in advance - simply arrive at the planting site by 8:45am in order to register, be assigned to a crew, and enjoy some coffee and snacks. We ask that you dress appropriately for the weather and to wear sturdy work shoes, but otherwise we'll provide gloves, tools, and all necessary guidance.
