position summary:

The Web Coordinator manages KBOO.FM, the primary Internet presence of KBOO Community Radio. This site is an advanced content management system (Drupal) with station news, blogs, archived audio, community calendars and other KBOO-related content. The Web Coordinator also manages KBOO's other online content and social networking/promotional sites. The ideal candidate will have both technical and people skills and will be able to help identify and implement new strategies in web communication.

Duties include: Work with station manager, program director and key staff to determine and promote KBOO's presence on the web. Train volunteers and staff to post and maintain content. Provide primary user support. Manage departmental volunteers. Manage website content, overall look and feel of website, content promotion, social networking platforms, podcast infrastructure, copyright and music licensing management. Work closely with contract Web Developer.

Salary & Benefits: 20hrs/wk. This is a half-time position, and the starting annual salary is $14,625. Full medical, dental, life and disability. Vacation and sick leave.

Start Date: Position is expected to begin mid-March, 2010.

Work Environment: KBOO is a very diverse community organization. You will interact with 14 staff and hundreds of volunteers, including on-air program hosts.

Salary / Pay Rate:$14,625 - half time with benefits, salaried
Required Skills and Abilities:Proficient in use of Web and social media. HTML/CSS experience (Drupal preferred, ideally with administrative experience) and some graphic design experience required. Experience in Adobe Audition, web streams, PHP and MySQL helpful but not required. Experience working with volunteers and developing training programs is beneficial.
Education Required:High School or equiv.
