Second Annual Bouquet of Hope Will Provide Crucial Funds for Women’s Center in Harsh Economic Times

The work at Rose Haven, a community and intervention center for women and children, is never done. Day in and day out volunteers, donors and grants provide vital resources and support for Portland women and children struggling with poverty, drug addiction and abuse. In the midst of a national economic crisis, the need for these services has only grown, as has Rose Haven’s dedication to providing them.  

The 2009 Bouquet of Hope benefit dinner was a dazzling display of goodwill and community commitment to the mission Rose Haven lives out everyday—in both lean and plentiful times. In 2010, the center renews its collaboration with the community to serve Portland’s women and children in need. This year, the annual Bouquet of Hope benefit for Rose Haven will take place on Saturday, May 15th. Back for repeat performances, Internationally renowned rock-violinist Aaron Meyer and Portland’s beloved Oregon Ballet Theater will grace the stage with their talent, against the backdrop of the beautiful Venue Pearl.

Bouquet of Hope will also again feature compelling stories and experiences from Rose Haven’s outstanding leadership – Board President Tanya Colie-McGee, Executive Director Sister Cathie Boerboom, Event Chair Helen Heller and other esteemed board members. The day-to-day commitment of these and other supporters of Rose Haven, to some of the most vulnerable residents in Portland, is an inspiring testament to the work the center does in the community.

The Bouquet of Hope benefits the special work of Rose Haven and takes place on May 15th, 2010 at Venue Pearl (323 NW 13th Avenue Portland, OR 97209). Early bird tickets can be purchased online at http://www.bouquetofhope.com for $75 each or $600/table of eight. Early bird rates are good through April 15th, 2010. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
