position summary:

A Portland-based drug education and crisis intervention non-profit located in SW Portland is seeking a full time Director of Finance and Operations to manage all aspects of accounting, financial management and reporting, information technology, human resources, facilities and other operational functions to support the CEO.

Salary / Pay Rate:Commensurate with experience
Required Skills and Abilities:Primary Responsibilities - Oversee all accounting functions of the organization including AP, payroll, GL, financial statements and audit preparation. - Prepare cash flow projections, budget and projection models and high-level financial analysis to assist senior management and the board in decision-making. - Participate actively as a member of the Oregon Partnership Management Team in organization-wide responsibilities and business planning. - Responsible for banking and cash management, business insurance and other financial management needs of the organization. - Oversee Human Resource function and benefit administration for organization. - Provide vendor selection and relationship management for IT /phone support, banking, insurance brokers, and other services. - Provide facilities management including contract negotiation & management for equipment maintenance, facilities-related services, and lease/move updates. - Partner with Development on program budget projections and grant budget generation.
Qualifications:Qualifications - Bachelors Degree - Required - MBA and/ or CPA - Preferred - 5 years of increasingly responsible Finance & Accounting experience; knowledge and experience with FASB 116-117 accounting for non-profits a plus - 3 years of management experience - Knowledge of Information Technology oversight or management - Knowledge of Human Resources, Personnel and Employee Relations experience - Excellent oral and written communication skills General Knowledge & Skills: - Ability to communicate in a variety of styles, and to explain complex financial information in layman’s terms - Strong internal customer service focus; collaboration with Management Team - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and to meet project deadlines - Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team - Knowledge of accounting software packages, such as Accpac, and intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office systems This job description is not meant to be an all inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function in the company.
