| position summary: | This position develops, coordinates and oversees the organization's internal and external marketing and communications plan and materials; administers the Grant's program (including grant searches, drafting and report writing); coordinates and supports the fundraising programs, including event planning, data base management for the fund development program and website, and supports the Executive Director and Board Development Committee. |

| Required Skills and Abilities: | Proven success in grant writing, creative writing, newsletter/publication design, non-profit fundraising event planning and marketing communications. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Excel; familiarity with website formatting and design, Raiser's Edge software and Adobe InDesign. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelor's degree in business, communciations, marketing, or other related field. 2-4 years experience in grant writing, creative writing, newsletter design and publication and marketing communications. Exceptional skills in interpersonal, verbal and written communciations, diplomacy and attention to detail. Self starter with capacity to follow through. Ability to manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity. |
