Resource Assistance for Rural Environments

Resource Assistance for Rural Environments [RARE] program is an AmeriCorps program administered by the University of Oregon. Each year we place 20-25 graduate level professionals in Oregon’s resource dependent communities to work on economic and community development and natural resource planning projects for an 11 month period. This year we are supporting 34 participants in 34 communities from Nyssa to Astoria to Roseburg. At this point, we are beginning to recruit communities to apply for the RARE program during the 2010-2011 year.
