Project Director

The National Alliance On Mental Illness of Clackamas County (NAMI CC) is seeking candidates for a Project Director. The Project Director shall have general direction of and supervision over the day-to-day affairs of the non profit organization .The Program Director reports to the Board of Directors, and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. NAMI Clackamas County is an affiliate of NAMI Oregon which is part of NAMI National .We are a grass roots, support, education, and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of all those affected by mental illness.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills, experience and characteristics: • Program Development skills • Volunteer Skills • Excellent verbal and writing skills • Public speaking experience • Media and public relations experience • Manage fundraising and outreach campaigns including grant writing • Event Planning • Group facilitation and mediation skills • Strong leadership and organizational skills • Must be proactive, work well independently, and demonstrate strong initiative

Desired Qualification: • Bachelors degree with five years relevant experience with mental health issues or strong business experience-or- • Master’s degree or equivalent in mental health, public administration, or related field • And three years successful experience in non-profit or private sector program administration, including organizational management, program development and fiscal management. This is a salaried position and the successful candidate must be available for some night and weekend work.
