Seeking volunteer Superheroes! Be a part of Portland Sunday Parkways!

Portland Sunday Parkways is more than an event – it’s an experience! Join more than 20,000 Portlanders on Sunday, May 16th – the first of five total Sunday Parkways scheduled for 2010 – for an afternoon of fun (think cycling, walking, running, skating, activities in the park, local food, families and more!)

Over 350 volunteers are needed to ensure that each Sunday Parkways is a success – and we have a volunteer position for just about everyone! Our biggest need is for INTERSECTION SUPERHEROES – these are the volunteers who are stationed at each intersection along the route (all intersections are closed to motor traffic) to help cheer on and direct the families, cyclists, runners, etc. who are moving along the route, while ensuring a safe and fun experience for all.
