Faces of IRCO: Vietnamese Culture Night

As a part of the the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization's (IRCO) series of cultural workshops exploring the many cultures of Portland, our next Faces of IRCO event will focus on the culture, history, food and politics of the people’s of Vietnam.

People began coming to Portland from Vietnam in the early 1970s, making them one of IRCO’s most established and largest communities – there are over 20,000 Vietnamese people in the Portland area. This presents a great opportunity to learn a bit more about Vietnam’s history and the experiences of Vietnamese people living in the United States. Also, you’ll get the chance to sample some typical Vietnamese food!
