Mystics: Mother Teresa May 7, 21 and June 4 from 10:00am – 12:00pm  We will begin our exploration of the mystics with the paradox of Mother Teresa’s long term experience of interior darkness at the same time that she carried the light of Christ into the slums of India. Participants may want to read Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light, the Private Writings of the “Saint of Calcutta.”  Through prayer, reflection, discussion, reading, and some simple writing exercises, we will seek a deeper understanding of our own faith out of our encounter with the mystic. God’s Extravagant Love This workshop is an opportunity to take an in-depth look at the Franciscan Intellectual Tradition through the lens of God’s Extravagant Love. Based on the theology of St. Bonaventure and John Duns Scotus, three major themes are explored:  •The Primacy of Christ and the Mystery of Love •Creation •The Dignity of the Human Person.  The workshop includes input, discussions, personal reflection and applications to daily life.
