Description:

The Outreach and Support to Special Immigrant Populations program(OSSIP) at Catholic Charities is looking for an intern who is interested in working with victims of human trafficking. The intern will help victims receive social services and obtain immigration status in the United States. The position will involve helping the staff attorney complete visa applications for clients. Duties may include: communicating with and interviewing clients, gathering evidence, and translating documents from Spanish to English. The intern would also work with the program case manager and program coordinator answering client phone calls, seeking appropriate services for clients, and advocating for clients needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in related field (social work, sociology, Spanish, etc.); - Fluent in Spanish (comfortable reading, writing, and speaking); - Highly resourceful - Comfortable working with victims of crime and trauma survivors - Compassionate

Compensation:

- This is an unpaid internship, however internship could lead to paid employment contingent upon right candidate and availability of funding.
