There's still time to submit nominations for Governor's Volunteer Awards

Do you know an Oregonian or a group of Oregonians making a difference in your community?

The Governor’s Volunteer Awards, the highest volunteer award in the state, honor individuals and groups who are helping to make their communities, and our state, better — often with no pay and little recognition.

Oregon Volunteers is now accepting nominations for the Governor’s Volunteer Awards in 8 categories, including Outstanding Youth Volunteer, Outstanding Senior Volunteer, Outstanding Youth Volunteer Program or Group, Outstanding Employee Volunteer Program, and Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Achievement.

Nominations are due by May 10, 2010. You can find the application and all the information at www.oregonvolunteers.org
