ESL/Citizenship Class

The Center for Intercultural Organizing is offering a 5-month "English as a Second Language/Citizenship Class" for both low income and senior immigrants.

The Class will start on May 10, 2010, and will be held 3 times a week through September 17, 2010, at Concordia University. The participants will have an intensive course of English for 3 months and preparation for the U.S. citizenship test for 2 months. On finishing the Class the CIO immigration legal services provider will assist, free of charge, all the participants with filing their naturalization applications with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, and will represent the applicants before the USCIS through the whole naturalization process.

The fee for the Class is $100. Scholarships available.

Enrollment requirement: knowledge of basic spoken English. All the applicants will be interviewed before admission to determine the level of English and commitment to attend all class sessions.
