Oregon Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA Positions

Fight poverty in Oregon as a member of the Oregon Campus Compact AmeriCorps*VISTA team!!

Oregon Campus Compact (ORCC) VISTA members are placed at higher education institutions throughout the state and build the capacity of these institutions to serve the community. ORCC VISTA members coordinate programs that build awareness of poverty issues, create civic engagement opportunities for students, faculty, and staff, and build community partnerships that address local poverty.

ORCC VISTA positions are available at the following institutions: Concordia University Linfield College Marylhurst University Oregon State University Pacific University Portland Community College Portland State University Southern Oregon University University of Oregon University of Portland Warner Pacific University

Member Benefits and Support: ORCC VISTA members receive a bi-weekly living allowance at the pre-tax rate of $411.00 (Multnomah/Washington Counties) / $396.00 (all other Oregon counties). VISTA members are eligible for health coverage and life insurance benefits. Upon successful completion of the service term, members are eligible to receive either a $5,350 Segal AmeriCorps Education Award or a $1,500 end-of-year stipend.

Members receive ongoing training throughout the year and will have access to a number of networking, conferencing, and other professional development opportunities throughout the year.

Eligibility: AmeriCorps*VISTA members must be able to commit to serve on a full-time basis for a full year (365 Days). They must be at least 18 years of age at the time of placement. They must be a U.S. Citizen, National, or Legal Resident. They must be able to pass a criminal background check. ORCC VISTA members must have the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree to qualify for program candidacy.
