Ride Connection is a private nonprofit providing transportation to older adults and people with disabilities living in the tri-county area. We are seeking a full-time IT Project Manager and a full-time Travel Trainer to join our team.

IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager is responsible for providing management, oversight and implementation of information technology projects which include but are not limited to: Strengthening existing data tracking systems; improving the quality, maintenance, and integration of current data; developing a more comprehensive data tracking system; developing data web-based tracking system for Ride Connection service partners. The timeline for projects is May 2010 through June 2011.

Required Qualifications BS degree in related field or four to six years of progressively responsible Information Systems management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience; experience working with transportation programs for older adults and people with disabilities in relation to information technology, preferably non-profit based.

Travel Trainer

We are seeking a full-time travel trainer to teach seniors and people with disabilities to travel safely and independently within the community by using public transportation.

Main responsibilities include: conducting assessments, developing individualized plans of action and conducting one-on-one instruction specific to the individual’s ability level. Bi-lingual applicants desirable.

Required Qualifications Strong communication skills, PC skills, knowledge of Metro area and familiarity with public transportation are required.
