Social Media Account Executive

This position will plan, manage and execute social media services for a group of non-profit clients across the United States. This is a full-time job based in Portland, Oregon, with an annual salary of $45,000 to $65,000, a 401 (k) contribution, paid vacation, and sick leave. The supervisor is Mac Prichard, owner of Prichard Communications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review of clients’ existing strategic and communications plans and help make recommendations for incorporating or expanding social media efforts. • Identify, monitor and assess key on-line conversations and trends about clients’ work and follow top leaders in those communities. Use this information to inform and help manage a social media editorial calendar. • Evaluate and recommend social media tools that enable organization to be more effective (i.e. listening tool, Tweet aggregator, etc.) • Work with client staff and other firms, to provide social media services. • Write, edit and deliver materials for online forums and webinars, including writing and updating plans, monitoring all posts, and taking part in evaluation. • Manage and grow a client Facebook page, make daily posts, recruit members, customize pages and add other functionalities, and monitor and respond to comments.

Salary / Pay Rate:$45,000 to $65,000 Annual Salary
Required Skills and Abilities:Skills • Experience in planning and moderating third-party online forums, blogs, and webinars. • Track record in planning, measuring, and analyzing online analytics. • Strong writer – clear, fast, and audience-focused. • RSS/HTML proficiency and comfortable learning new online tools, exploring new services, and adapting them to the needs of clients. • Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and client relations skills. • Good judgment in managing online content and handling undesirable comments. • Understanding of human service issues.
Qualifications:Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree and three to seven year’s professional experience in a combination of online marketing, social media, public relations, or public affairs.
