Oregon Environmental Council (OEC) is recruiting a Communications Intern to assist our Communications Director. This is a great opportunity to experience working in a nonprofit environment while enhancing marketing skills.

The Intern will: • Assist with publicity for OEC programs and events • Conduct a qualitative analysis of earned media • Database maintenance of all earned media files • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent research and phone skills • Experience synthesizing complex ideas/concepts • Ability to manage multiple projects • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills • Professional demeanor • Willingness to learn • Prefer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint • Prefer candidates majoring in Communications or similar field

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, motivated and possess the desire to produce excellent work. This role requires strong creative skills and the ability to take initiative and work independently.
