position summary:

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is seeking a Database Support Specialist. This position works jointly within its home department and the Development Department. The Database Support Specialist will provide key information support that will enable OMSI to provide excellent customer service to its members and donors, and assist in the prospecting and cultivation of high value donors.

The essential duties and responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to, providing administrative, special event and project assistance to members of the development team and supporting the Lead Development Database Specialist as necessary. This is a regular, full-time, exempt position scheduled to work 40 hours per week.

Salary / Pay Rate:$24,074 - $29,491/year
Required Skills and Abilities:The basic requirements for knowledge/skills/abilities include, but aren’t limited to, excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization and time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail are required, computer skills with experience in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing are required, ability to handle confidential information and self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team. Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge 7 and AuctionPay experience preferred. Basic requirements for education and experience include a minimum 2 years of data entry, membership, or payment processing. Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and experience in a nonprofit organization is preferred.
