Be a tree advocate with Friends of Trees!

Advocate for a healthier, more livable community by becoming a summer festival volunteer!

The summer is Friends of Trees' outreach season when we are present at street fairs, farmers markets, festivals, Sunday Parkways, etc. to raise awareness of what we do, gather support from the community in terms of joining us for a tree planting as a volunteer or buying a street or yard tree from their home. It's a fun way to be outside and enjoy these various events through a different lens, as well as to meet and talk with a range of interesting people.

The training is designed to familiarize yourself with Friends of Trees on a broad level so that you feel comfortable speaking on our behalf. We're an organization that likes to do good work and have fun doing it and we like to convey that to everyone.

After you attend the training, we only ask that you work two four-hour shifts between June and September. Scheduling is flexible!

Summer festival volunteer training will be on Saturday, June 5th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the PCC Cascade Campus - 705 N Killingsworth, Portland 97217 - Terrell Hall, Room 112.
