Final Tree Care event of the season with Friends of Trees

To help newly-planted trees and shrubs get a jump on the invasives competition this spring, Friends of Trees has organized a series of Tree Care events this month at some of our Green Space Initiative native restoration planting sites. It’s been a great way to get outside and enjoy the spring weather, as well as help ensure the success of these planting sites.

This coming Saturday will be the last event for the season and we invite you to join us! It will take place at Durham City Park in Tigard. Simply arrive at the site by 9 a.m. and we’ll provide refreshments, gloves and tools.

No experience is necessary! We’ll not only teach you how to remove invasive plant species by hand, but we’ll also teach native plant identification skills and various care techniques.
