position summary:

The Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce of Oregon and SW Washington (APACC) is an Oregon non-profit corporation. APACC serves as a pro-business organization to cultivate and promote cultural and business relationships among Asian Pacific American chamber members, local businesses, non-profit organizations, government, media, and the general public.

APACC is seeking an intern to assist in one or more of the following: • Creating or upgrading website • Developing programming for business events • Coordinating logistics of events • Tracking memberships • Seeking partners and sponsors • Increasing member benefits • Responding to member inquiries • Communicating details about organization and events • Preparing materials for website, event invitations, and newsletter • Soliciting donations

Additionally, intern will attend and participate in board meetings and business events.

Intern will work 8-10 hours per week at the Portland office of one of the board members. Flexible schedule and duration with a minimum of three months.

Salary / Pay Rate:Stipend consisting of free student or individual membership for one year and free admission to all APACC events during internship
Required Skills and Abilities:• Excellent oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Proficient in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint • Basic knowledge of CMS, website architecture, html, and photoshop • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects
Education Required:High School or equiv.
