Bag&Baggage Productions Needs Volunteers!

On Wednesday, July 28th, Bag&Baggage Productions (Hillsboro’s own professional theatre company) is holding our second annual outdoor summer Shakespeare Gala Auction event! We are expecting more than 150 people will attend the event, and we hope to raise more than $20,000 to support our unique TEN4ONE Education Program. TEN4ONE provides local high school students with free tickets to our shows...it gives students a chance to enjoy the thrill of live theatre right here, in their own backyards, in a time when most schools have no budget for field trips or tickets! We need help!

There are a number of volunteer opportunities we need help with on the night of the event. Most of these volunteer opportunities will require that you:

-Be available for 3 – 5 hours on Wednesday, July 28th

-Be professional, courteous and hard working

-Be able to lift at least 20 pounds on your own

-Be able to work well with other volunteers

-Have a sense of humor!

Specifically we need volunteers to:

Set up and decorate tables (2:00pm – 5:00pm)

Package boxes for the picnic dinners (3:00pm – 6:00pm)

Decorate the seating area (starting at 3:00pm – 6:00pm)

Set up the Auction Display Tables (3:00pm – 6:00pm)

Act as Ushers or Front of House Staff (5:00pm – 10:00pm)

Clean up and break down (9:00pm – 11:00pm)

What will you get in return? Other than our gratitude and lifelong affection? How about two free tickets to any public performance of 'Twelfth Night' (July 30 – August 10)! You can help us raise lots of money for our scholarship program and get two free tickets in the bargain!
