Passionate about astronomy and love presenting? Then the Planetarium Presenter opening is for you! The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is looking for a part-time Planetarium Presenter who will be responsible for the console operation of public astronomy and laser shows in the Planetarium, operating and maintaining the console operations for the Planetarium including automation, multimedia equipment, audio system, and limited laser equipment and presenting taped astronomy shows to both groups and the public in the planetarium. Interact with the audience on current astronomy and aerospace issues.

The ideal candidate will have computer literacy and mechanical aptitude, strong public speaking and customer service skills and the ability to work with technical staff to resolve mechanical and technical problems related to planetarium operations. A High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum 1 year customer service and related experience are required. Astronomy and Space Science background and a minimum 1 year Planetarium experience are preferred. Candidate must pass pre-employment checks such as a criminal background check and reference checks.
