Volunteers needed for nature festival!

Volunteers needed for Explorando! el Columbia Slough

When: Saturday, June 19th, 2010

                Two hour shifts from 10-6

Where: Whitaker Ponds Nature Park

What: The Columbia Slough Watershed Council is putting on its 9th annual Explorando! el Columbia Slough, a bilingual environmental festival for the whole family. Last year we had 400 people attend our festival and enjoy the guided canoe trips, ballet folklorico, rock climbing wall, and face painting! We rely on our volunteers to make each year a success.  

We need volunteers for the following activities: canoe trips; canoe safety instructions; greeters to festival-goers; arts & crafts assistants; rock wall assistants. If you are bilingual, or know a little Spanish, your help is especially appreciated as a translator.
