Volunteer, Resource & Event Coordinator

Children’s Relief Nursery, a child abuse prevention program, is looking for a high-energy and driven Volunteer, Resource, and Event Coordinator. This integral member of the development team reports to the Development Director. Primary responsibilities include coordinating events (including our signature event, the annual Portland’s Original Iron Chef auction gala), volunteer recruitment (for program and event needs) as well as assisting with other fundraising activities, such as diaper drives and holiday gift-in-kind drives. Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in successful event/auction planning, successful volunteer recruitment and management as well as the ability to multi-task many projects and events at once while maintaining calm while under pressure.

We focus our work on families with children from birth through four because healthy relationships between parents and their infants/toddlers lay the foundation for a child’s potential in life. Services include therapeutic classrooms (for toddlers with developmental delays), respite childcare, parenting classes, music/art curriculum, mental health intervention, home visits and intensive case management.
