Dear Friends and Comrades!  You are cordially invited to the upcoming Portland Peoples Movement Assembly follow-up gathering.   Please come and join us for a pot-luck and movement building check-in.  This event is not a meeting and will not require any process or resolutions.  There will be food, music and a chance to get to know other organizations and organizers as we continue to build movement in Portland.  We will also be sending off our Portland Caravanistas who will be joining the Cascadia Freedom Caravan heading out for the U.S. Social Forum the next day.  Please pass this on to anyone who might be interested.  This is NOT a closed gathering for the folks and organizations who initially participated in the PPMA.  It's about building Movement.  Everyone is invited!  For more information or to RSVP contact us at [email protected] . The Portland People's Movement Assembly

The PPMA, organized by Creating Democracy, was convened on May 8th. More than 100 people, representing 28 groups, gathered to prepare resolutions for the US Social Forum being held from June 22nd to June 26th in Detroit and to begin laying groundwork for a network of Portland activists that would broaden & strengthen our movement.  This gathering is another step in creating that network.  Join us.
