Volunteer with African Immigrant/Refugee Youth this Summer!

African Womens Coalition's Summer Youth Heritage Camp needs volunteers!

Help African youth going into 6 – 9th grades with academic activities, art, sports, while strengthening their sense of cultural identity through storytelling, field trips, and confidence-building activities.

Volunteers are needed 6 hours/week from June 28 – Aug. 13th. Volunteer Orientations are being held on June 21st and June 23rd at noon at the AWC office.

Volunteers will sign up to work at one of two sites:

Hosford Middle School (2303 SE 28th) Monday and Wednesday 8:30 – 11:30 or

New Columbia-North Trenton (off of Columbia Blvd) Fridays 8:30- 2
