SUN Community School Summer Camp Cook

Neighborhood House SUN Community School Summer Camp Cook, Robert Gray MS: 16 hrs/wk, Monday-Thursday for 5 weeks (July 6, 2010 - August 5, 2010). Job Responsibilities: The Robert Gray SUN School Summer Camp Cook prepares, cooks and serves healthy lunches to 70-80 students. Meal preparation and cooking happen on site at Robert Gray MS. Job includes menu planning, assisting with food budget, and developing shopping lists for SUN School staff. Position gives direction and cooking tasks for program volunteers. The SUN School camp cook will assist in serving and monitoring lunch room during the lunch periods and does clean-up after lunch.

Minimum Qualifications: 1. One year experience prepping and cooking in restaurant, school, or camp settings; 2. Experience planning weekly lunch menus for large groups; 3. Positive and enthusiastic attitude; 4. Current Food Handler’s Permit required; 5. Must pass criminal background check as condition of employment.
