Meet Local Leaders: Healthy/Sustainable Living, Alt Transportation, more!

A Talk in the Park is an opportunity created exclusively for Sunday Parkways Intersection Superhero volunteers. It’s your chance to join a small group of neighbors to sit down with a notable professional and discuss topics that are central to the mission of Sunday Parkways, including:

Community Building Alternative Transportation Healthy Lifestyles and more!

As an exclusive opportunity for Intersection Superhero volunteers, A Talk in the Park enhances and enriches your volunteer experience at the event and gives you an opportunity to really engage in the meaning and impacts of Sunday Parkways.

About the event: Portland Sunday Parkways opens 5-7 mile car-free routes throughout Portland neighborhoods, which create a shared community space where neighbors, families, cyclists, walkers, joggers and more can meet, play and enjoy Portland!

Hundreds of volunteers are needed in order to ensure a successful event. Intersection Superheroes play the most important role of all – keeping participants and neighbors safe and happy. We currently have just over 100 Intersection Superhero volunteers signed-up, and we’re in need of 100 more to ensure a successful event – YOU can help!

In addition to the A Talk in the Park opportunity, all volunteers receive these GREAT PERKS:

**FREE event t-shirt

**Drinks, snacks and all the training/support you need

**FREE 2010 Sunday Parkways Bandana (for volunteers who complete three or more shifts between the five total events this season)

**FREE Worst Day of the Year Ride entry (for volunteers who complete seven or more shifts between the five total events this season; you can use the entry for yourself or gift it to a friend)
