The Alberta Coop's June Event: Field Trip to King Farmers Market!

Sunday, June 20th, 12 noon - 2 pm King Farmers Market at NE 7th Ave and Wygant

Farmers Market season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than a visit to the Sunday King Farmers Market with other members of the Co-op community? We'll meet at the market (at NE 7th and Wygant, in the parking lot of the King School Park), and explore the market's offerings together. We'll learn about their SNAP/EBT (food stamp) matching program, Foodshare Fund Northeast, in which anyone on SNAP benefits can receive up to $10 extra every week to spend at the market. And then we'll cap it all off with a picnic in the park! So come on out and enjoy an afternoon of locally-grown food and community!

Meet up at noon near the Portland Farmers Market information booth, in the music/seating area. Look for people with Alberta Co-op t-shirts! If you come later, find us in the park right behind the market. We'll have an ACG banner. Consider bringing your checkbook or some extra cash to make a donation to the Foodshare Fund!
