position summary:

A Portland-based drug education and crisis intervention non-profit located in SW Portland is currently accepting applications for our part-time Design/Marketing/Social Media Internship. The position is approximately 8 - 12 hours per week (July-September 2010 – with possible continued involvement)

Intern will work under the supervision of Oregon Partnership’s Creative Director and have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced creative environment. This internship is geared toward motivated individuals seeking hands-on experience in graphic design, advertising, marketing and web-based applications. Individuals should be current students or recent graduates in related field, who are familiar with design, marketing and web-based software. Salary / Pay Rate:Uncompensated
Required Skills and Abilities:Tasks and Responsibilities: 1. Design newsletters both print and online 2. Edit and update Oregon Partnership website 3. Assist with the marketing of special events 4. Assist with the design and printing of materials 5. Create marketing collateral 6. Search Engine Optimization work 7. Social media work 8. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Job Knowledge and Abilities: О Highly skilled in computer operations and common Microsoft platform software applications as well as knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML О Experience with online marketing tools, wordpress and website management is strongly desired and experience with social media such as Facebook and Twitter This job description is not meant to be an all inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function in the company.
