Hands On Greater Portland is seeking a Project Specialist to join its team. Hands On Greater Portland provides volunteers with a variety of meaningful opportunities for service with more than 400 community-based organizations in the Portland area. Hands On is an affiliate Hands On Network an international organization focused on service and volunteering.

Salary / Pay Rate:34,000-38,000
Required Skills and Abilities:1. Business Cares project management Developing and managing volunteer projects for corporate groups 2. Event management MLK Weekend – creating and managing more then 100 volunteer projects engaging more than 2,000 volunteers Cares Day – held in April creating and managing more then 30 volunteer projects engaging more than 1,500 volunteers Managing and supporting other events as specified 3. Development Support Manage donor database Assist with fundraising activities. Prepare annual report 4. Days of Service Management Developing and managing United Way corporate partner projects
Qualifications:Strong customer service skills. Passion for working with people and building relationships. Strong organization skills Fast work pace Ability to manage details and enroll others in events. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to be innovative and stretch the limits of current Hands On volunteer project parameters. Familiarity with the Portland nonprofit community. Familiarity with the internet and other technical applications, such as Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn. Passion for Hands On’s mission
