AFS-USA works toward a more just and peaceful world by providing international and intercultural learning experiences to individuals, families, schools, and communities through a global volunteer partnership.

As part of the AFS Regional Hosting Department, the Seasonal Recruitment Assistant will coordinate and conduct outreach projects in targeted areas specific to host family recruitment objectives for our volunteer teams. Working within our internal network of over 5000 volunteers and previous host families, this position will be reaching out to help generate interest and awareness of the opportunities for hosting high school foreign exchange students from our international partner network. High volume phone networking and follow up will be the main role, as well as web/computer based research and database management for facilitation.

Qualifications • At least two years of college or equivalent work experience • Sales/Marketing experience • Working knowledge of Windows environment • Good verbal and written skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities • Good organizational skills • Experience in volunteer, community or organizational development • Cross-cultural experience preferred but not necessary

The working hours for this position are: Mon-Thur, 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM & Sundays, 12 PM to 4 PM
