Volunteers needed for Boys & Girls Aid's 8th Annual Barn Bash!

Howdy folks!

It’s time to don your cowboy hat and lend a hand at the 8th annual Barn Bash on July 31st. This “Party with a Purpose” is an important fundraiser for Boys & Girls Aid and it’s only possible with help from amazing volunteers—that means you!

This event takes place on a farm in West Linn, about 20 minutes from downtown Portland. We need volunteers to help out at registration, sell raffle tickets, track sales, etc.

As a volunteer, you’ll get to enjoy the Barn Bash before or after your shift ends, which will include a delicious BBQ dinner (with vegetarian options), dancing, and an amazing sunset (subject to the whims of Mother Nature). Plus, you’ll be helping to raise money to help Boys & Girls Aid meet our core purpose of impacting the lives of children in need.

Some details: You will need to provide your own transportation to the event. There will be a mandatory volunteer training on Thursday, July 29. Shifts are 4 hours, spaced between 4:30 pm and Midnight. The event is 21+, so all of our volunteers must also be 21+.

If you’re interested in volunteering or have any questions, please contact Anthony Szabó at [email protected]. I hope to see y’all down on the farm!

Motivated by our core purpose to impact the lives of children, Boys & Girls Aid finds children permanent homes through adoption; provides children with safe places to stay temporarily through foster care and shelter services; and connects children with stable, caring adult role models through our mentoring program.
