Camp Starlight - a camp for kids ages 5 - 14 who have been impacted by HIV

It’s Camp Starlight time! August 29 – September 3rd, 2010

If you've ever gone to summer camp, you know it's an experience you never forget - a time to learn and explore, make new friends and have new adventures. Camp Starlight offers all of these, and more, because our campers are a very special group. They are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. That’s a heavy burden to place on any child. But at Camp Starlight they are supported, loved and accepted.

At Camp Starlight, that burden is lifted. In a loving environment, among new friends and fellow fun-seekers, the kids have a ball. For the youngest, it’s a wild week of excitement. For the older kids, it’s also an opportunity to share feelings among friends who understand - who have been there. The games, swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, campfires, dance, archery, sleeping under the stars and the talent show, all are memorable summer fun. Perhaps the most cherished memories of camp are the friendships.

We have space for more campers, ages 5 – 14, to join the fun! If you or a family you know has kids affected or infected by HIV, let them know about CAP and Camp Starlight. Camp Starlight is free of charge.
