Position Summary:

 

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) seeks an experienced development professional to serve as our Associate Director of Development. The ideal candidate will be excited to manage all aspects of PPCW’s annual fundraising effort including direct mail, special events, patient donations, staff giving, and other fundraising activities as needed. The successful Associate Director of Development will work with other PPCW development professionals, staff, board members and volunteers in a collaborative environment to set and meet annual goals for unrestricted funds.

 

Essential Functions:

 

• Plans, coordinates and organizes all direct mail fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, donor cultivation and stewardship events and activities, and other events as needed. • Works with the Vice President of Development, Director of Annual Giving, and other staff to identify major gift prospects, and assists in maximizing the efficacy of the Board Development Committee. • Manages PPCW’s annual luncheon, and develops follow-up strategies for events which strengthen donor relationships with PPCW. • Develops and monitors revenue/expense budget for all direct mail campaigns, as well as special events. • Works with other staff to ensure accurate and effective use of the donor database. • Oversees gift processing, report generation, production of timely acknowledgment letters and lists, and updating and importing of donor lists. • Writes, reviews and proofs annual fund print projects, such as annual fund letters, newsletter articles, invitations, etc. • Needs to be able to meet the physical demands of sitting while performing repetitive movements of the hand up to 8 hours per day.

 

• Other duties as requested and agreed upon.

 

Required Skills:

 

• Strong interpersonal, organizational and project management skills required. • Good working knowledge of Windows, fundraising software, word processing and database programs. • Ability to work under supervision and in a team context while maintaining flexibility and independent judgment.

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

• Bachelor’s degree required. • Minimum three years of development experience, annual giving preferred. • Proficiency with donor software and Microsoft Office.

 

Competencies:

 

• Experienced and knowledgeable in general fundraising principles.

• Planning, organizing, managing, and meeting the goals of an annual fund campaign.

Location: NE PORTLAND Compensation: $58,500/YEAR, MEDICAL/DENTAL/VISION, 403B PLAN, STD/LTD/STD INSURANCE, DISCOUNTED PET INSURANCE
