Picnic and Benefit for the Sauvie Island Center

Picnic and Barndance Benefit for the Sauvie Island Center

Enjoy a beautiful summer evening on Sauvie Island, learning about the Sauvie Island Center, touring the Sauvie Island Organics farm, and listening to music while enjoying a picnic on the grass. We are gathering our friends and supporters to introduce them to the work we do educating youth about food, farming and the land. See the farm, experience our educational programs, and enjoy live music on the grass and dancing in the barn.

The Sauvie Island Center serves elementary school youth of Portland by providing hands-on educational field trips at our Sauvie Island location in Metro’s Howell Territorial Park. Our trips take place on the Sauvie Island Organics farm. Through our education programs, the Center seeks to increase the food, farm, and environmental literacy of the next generation.

We will also be holding a small silent auction for a range of great items from our generous sponsors, including: Laughing Planet, the Urban Farm Store, Portland Nursery, Grand Central Baking, Patagonia, Cistus Nursery, Garden Fever and many others. We are located less than a mile from the bridge on Sauvie Island at 13605 NW Howell Park Rd Portland, OR 97231.
