Confronting Modern Day Slavery - July 25

The PACIFIC CENTER FOR GLOBAL JUSTICE invites you to "Arts for Justice: Confronting Modern Day Slavery."

 

Date/Time: Sunday, July 25 from 3-7PM Location: PSU South Park Blocks (adjacent to Smith Memorial Center between SW Harrison & Montgomery Streets)

 

Through music, poetry, meditation, and other forms of artistic expression, we will address the issue of human slavery, a plague of injustice that affects an estimated 27 million people worldwide.

 

Listen to guest speaker Jeri Williams, a Portland survivor who endured 20 years of prostitution, drugs, and gang activity, and now manages the Diversity and Civic Leadership contract for the Office of Neighborhood Involvement.

 

No prior registration is necessary. All are welcome.

 

Admission is free. Donations welcome.
