A TALK IN THE PARK: Conversations between neighbors at Portland Sunday Parkways

Do more than just volunteer!

Volunteer for a unique opportunity that combines the support of a great community event and a conversation with a local leader. Join your neighbors in a lively discussion about East Portland, Portland Police, Urban Farming, Civic Engagement or Ross Island as an Urban Wildlife Refuge.

Our speakers for the East Sunday Parkways event on Sunday, July 18th include:

•MIKE HOUCK – Executive Director of the Urban Greenspaces Institute **Ross Island as an Urban Wildlife Refuge**

•STATE REPRESENTATIVE JEFFERSON SMITH **An Important Time for East Portland**

•LINDA ROBINSON – Community Organizer **Citizen action: How can I get involved without giving my life away?**

•JEFF BISSONETTE – Citizen Review Committee **Portland Police Bureau and the community: Where are we going?**

•RODNEY BENDER – Garden Programs Manager for Growing Gardens **Growing Food in the City**

A Talk in the Park is an exclusive opportunity for those who register as Intersection Superheroes. When you sign up, we provide you with all the information to get you set up for the event. We keep the location for the talk secret, but then give you the details as you sign in to volunteer at the event.
