Middle School Math Teacher

Middle school math teacher sought to bring inspirational dynamic project based math to small school in North Portland. Position is part time (.5) or possibly full time (1.0), budget and staffing allowing. It would be helpful if the candidate was comfortable offering additional classes in science or technology at a high school or middle school level. At least a Monday through Thursday position.

Desired Qualifications: · Bachelors degree in related field · Experience in teaching middle school math · Experience or interest in project based math · Experience working in a diverse, dynamic, and challenging environment · Willingness to participate in democratic school structure · Nice

Beneficial to the position, but not required: · Oregon teaching endorsement in math at middle school and possibly high school level · Oregon teaching endorsement in integrated science or biology · Familiar with Oregon Work Sample requirements · Flexibility and a good sense of humor · Experience planning and teaching lessons that reach students with a wide range of mathematical abilities.
