position summary:

Objective: Knowledge about Emergency Birth Control and where one can go to access it is crucial in preventing unintended pregnancies and abortions. Work within our target counties to ensure the widespread distribution of educational materials: through events, private providers’ offices, and with help from community organizations and individual volunteers.

Main tasks:

Community Organizations • Identify organizations to contact and build mutually beneficial relationships • Create and maintain tracking system for calls and follow-up • Send materials, set up meetings to present the EBC Access Project • Build community listserv to provide organizations with EBC Updates

Private Physicians • Contact offices of private physicians in target counties to send materials for their waiting rooms and exam rooms • Create and maintain tracking system for all calls and results • Send public education materials and referral lists

Events and Outreach to General Public: • Assist in the development and implementation of door-to-door literature drop • Track and follow-up with volunteer interests or information requests from outreach efforts

Start and end dates are flexible. We will help you secure school credit if possible.
