Calling all Volunteer Photographers!

Schoolhouse Supplies is in search of volunteer photographers to help capture the fun during our Knowledge Universe Tools for Schools backpack giveaway program! This program partners high-need Portland elementary and K-8 schools with corporate sponsors, thereby providing every child in each sponsored school with a backpack full of school supplies.

For two weeks in August, the companies come to Schoolhouse Supplies to pack the backpacks and then hand out the bags to students during the first week of school in September.

We need volunteer photographers to take pictures during the packing parties at Schoolhouse Supplies and at the distribution events at the schools. Packing takes place August 16th – August 27th in mornings (9am-12pm) and afternoons (1-4pm) in NE Portland, and distributions are held September 7th – 10th at various times and locations.

Photographers can sign up for multiple dates, and are encouraged to photograph both the packing and distribution event for a company.

Schoolhouse Supplies requests that you provide a disk of high resolution digital photos that we can share with the sponsoring companies at no charge. We ask that the disk be prepared one week following each event. Our hopes are that you will build an ongoing relationship with the company for other events outside of the Tools for Schools program.
