Do you love interacting with people? Do you have a passion for science and education? Then the Visitor Services Lead position may be the right fit for you! The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) has an opening for a part-time Visitor Services Lead scheduled to work 30 hours per week. This position oversees the day-to-day customer services operations for OMSI’s admissions desk, theaters and program registration office. The Lead is responsible for front-line service coordination and acting as a customer service resource during all museum operating hours. Duties outside of the daily interaction with customers include troubleshooting with visitor issues that are beyond the scope of Visitor Services Representatives, operating the computer ticketing system and supervisory duties for visitor services staff including training, scheduling and serving as a positive role model and leader.

Salary / Pay Rate:Pay Range: $10.47 - $12.55 per hour
Qualifications:The ideal candidate will be a team player with thorough knowledge of customer service fields and direct customer contact, knowledge of PC’s, cash registers systems, staff supervisory skills, problem solving techniques and communication skills. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service related industry of field, a minimum of 1 of experience in staff supervision and a minimum of 1 year experience with PC’s and ticketing systems. Theater presentation experience is preferred. Selected candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check and reference checks.
