What: The Columbia Slough Watershed Council is putting on its 16th annual Regatta on the Columbia Slough, the largest one-day paddling festival in Oregon! This event allows our community to rent canoes and kayaks and connect with the wildlife on the Slough. Last year the Regatta attracted 485 paddlers and 183 boats to paddle on the Slough, the "hidden gem" of our local waterways. A variety of wildlife including great blue herons, bald eagles, beaver, turtles, and fish live in the Slough. The Columbia Slough provides safe slack water paddling appropriate for all skill levels.

We rely on our volunteers to make each year a success.

We need 25 volunteers for the following activities: Canoe wranglers on the dock; Parking Lot attendees; Food and Beverages; Our new Composting program; Registration for boat rentals; Set-Up and Break-Down before and after the event.

Please contact Dana at [email protected] or at 503-956-8558 by July 23rd if you are interested.
