| position summary: | A half time Training Coordinator is needed for the Multnomah and Washington County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. The Training Coordinator provides for a professional and comprehensive training program for the CASA volunteers as well as continuing education for experienced CASA's. |
| Salary / Pay Rate: | $17,500 annually |
| Required Skills and Abilities: | Experience in adult teaching and curriculum development preferred. Competence in and commitment to the field of child welfare or child and family services desired. Working knowledge base regarding child abuse and neglect, advocacy, family dynamics, cultural issues, and the legal and social service systems desired. Demonstrated collaboration and leadership ability as well as a sound understanding of adult learning practices, the priciples of volunteer management, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelors degree in education, human services, or related field and two years work experience. Commensurate education and teaching experience combination will be considered in lieu of a degree.
